Pride in STEM is looking for two new volunteer trustees to join the board of our charity. We are especially interested in recruiting one trustee with skills or interests in digital communication – in the past, this has involved social media, newsletters, and podcasts, but we welcome your ideas about where this role could take us.

Given the focus of our charity, lived experience of being LGBTQIA+ and/or working in STEM research or industry are especially relevant to our board.

Pride in STEM is a ground-breaking, award-nominated, UK charity showcasing and supporting LGBTQIA+ people in STEM. The charity is approaching its 10-year anniversary of championing a minoritised community in STEM, from running local community events that shape individuals lives, to transforming national policy, and international visibility that reshapes the structures of STEM fields themselves. The organization was nominated for the Barbara Burford Gay Times Honour for excellence in STEM in 2017, and it spearheaded the International Day of LGBTQIA+ people in STEM celebrated annually on November 18.
