James is a PhD researcher and an award-winning science communicator at The University of Sheffield, where his work focusses on the long-term behaviour of the glass that may one day be used to store the UK’s radioactive waste. Previously, James studied Earth Sciences at The University of Glasgow before moving to University College London to study Geophysical Hazards. Aside from his studies, James also volunteers at Age UK and enjoys talking with children and their families at science outreach events.
