DR Imogen Gingell

Imogen Gingell is a trans woman and space plasma physicist currently based at Imperial College London. Her research focuses on the ways plasma flowing out from the Sun can interact with Earth’s magnetic field – especially when it generates a shock wave! She uses NASA satellite observations and high performance simulations to unpack how these complex space environments transfer energy across the solar system.
